The FASTIES - Thrillist’s fast food awards show 2021 graphics package. Designer: Maitane Romagosa. Motion: Danna Windsor
My role for this unique 45min online event was to create the full graphics package which consisted of: main intro, small intros for unique segments, psychedelic transitions, 3D backgrounds for green screen (fake “stage”), lower thirds, text on screen, social teaser, nominee segments and so much more!
This was an incredible project which had to be done in a short amount of time.
There were 12 categories to create motion for. For example this was “Best Breakfast”. I was working in collaboration with designer Maggie Rosetti to create fake/lavish looking images for each nominee.
In order to build the 3d stage I used green screen images of Tim and David, the hosts of the event.
Slay Ride was a fun, over the top drag brunch holiday special.
The GFX package required many original assets like animated backgrounds, title cards, an intro, lower thirds, an AR filter & more. Original text designs by Maitane Romagosa.
I built the snow fantasy world inside a mini dome in Cinema 4D.
I created additional looping backgrounds of areas all over the world by combining stock footage and 3D water (which was made in Cinema 4D).
Nuke With Me was a microwave cooking show hosted by Marlon Webb filled with humor and oddities. As such, it required an off beat approach to motion and unique GFX/animated sequences. The motion was inspired by micro-waves - glitchy weird and unexpected.
The animation sequences were different every episode, based on the food on hand (mushrooms - a trippy shroom dream).
Original text designs by Maggie Rossetti.
For episode 3 - I had the pleasure of creating multiple trippin’ sequences. I illustrated the world and added a scary bouncy sun mixed in with the cuteness =]
Glitchy show intro
Lower Thirds
I created stylized text on screen .mogrts for the editors to use during the cooking sements.
Check out this fun, trippy episode!
Compositing & motion by me. Illustration by Maggie Rossetti.
History Of - a weekly history show, ran for 20 weeks between March - Aug 2020 & during the summer of 2021.
Each episode focused on a pop culture/ food topic and retold its history - SUPER FAST.
I created a library of assets (illustrations & animations) to use when archival footage was missing. I kept the style bold and consistent which made the story easy to follow.
Thrillist rebranded itself in spring 2020 sharing positivity and color during a worldwide crisis. I was honored to be a part of their brand change and channeled that energy into the animation and brand colors.
