MOTION DESIGN
As the senior motion designer at Thrillist Media I've had the pleasure of working on so many fun and inventive productions. Each required a different creative process, inspiration & energy.
Here are 2 unique graphic package experiences I’ve created ~
Nuke With Me - a microwave cooking show hosted by Marlon Webb was filled with humor and oddities. As such, it required an offbeat approach to motion and unique GFX/animated sequences. Aside from the usual intro, text on screen and lower thirds - we had a speaking steak (composed in AE), a drug fueled cartoon world (animated in Adobe Animate), a glitchy AR filter and much more.
Slay Ride was a fun, over the top drag brunch holiday special. It required many original assets like augmented realities, a disco background, animated water, a magical book & more.
"History Of" is a weekly history show that ran for 20 weeks between March - Aug 2020 & is back for season 2 in the summer of 2021.
Each episode focuses on a pop culture/ food topic and retold its history. I created a library of assets (illustrations & animations) to use when archival footage was missing. I kept the style bold and consistent which made the story easy to follow.
Working on productions for Snapchat & IGS was super fun. There's still so much to explore with those platforms, so I got to experiment with unique one off productions.
