Animation commission for journal || of Ayin Press - The Holy Fool
In Tarot The Fool represents new beginnings, having faith in the future, being inexperienced, not knowing what to expect, having beginner's luck, improvisation and believing in the universe.
With this short animated loop I wanted to represent an awakening - to life, to new oppurtunities and maybe even mistakes.
I created "The Fool" world by building an isolated island in c4d where the crystal is found by our character and the portal opens.
The character was created using video frames (rotoscope) as well as AI software Ebsynth.

Pre Production
Working with the great folks at Ayin we had an established idea of the visual but before I could start animating I created a full mood board style frame and storyboard of scene by scene to make sure the mood is tight and the color palete is set.
